"We thought it was our ability to reflect back on our humanity that made us human. But actually, it was our ability to click on images of fire hydrants."

This 3D illustration started as a throwaway joke in a passing conversation — and then the joke lingered. It morphed into a miniature narrative about the absurdity of modern human validation, gamified verification, and machine-readable humanity.

I built this piece as a short-form story told through composition and lighting. It’s not tied to any assignment or production goal — just a moment I wanted to explore for its tone, storytelling potential, and conceptual weirdness.

The piece allowed me to experiment with stylized modeling, simple surfacing, and exaggerated color — in service of an idea, not a pipeline.
